Making bread

In Food Technology this morning we worked with Mrs Paton-Devine to make bread rolls.

First we had to put on our aprons and wash our hands.

Then we kneaded our dough for ten minutes to make it rise.  It was importnat to remember not to hold it in our hands as our hands are too hot and this would make it sticky.

Mrs Paton-Devine showed us how to shape our dough into two different rolls.

When we had shaped our dough we placed it on a try.  The trays had oil on them so that the dough would not stick to it.

The dough was covered over with a cloth.  Mrs Paton-Devine explained that this was to give the dough chance to rise.

When it had risen, Mrs Paton-Devine cooked it in the oven.  It looks delicious!
