Measuring with a ruler

In Maths we have been learning how to use a ruler to measure more accurately.  We measured lots of different things and talked about how many centimetres long they were.

We sat on the carpet and measured the bottom of our shoe.

Umar and Ismah found that the poster on the wall was 30cm long.  This was the same length as their rulers.

Zayan measured the basket.  He found that it was 26cm long.

Jamie measured a reading book.  His book was 19cm long.

 Nuuradin and Jackson measured their pencils.  Everybody's pencils were different lengths.

Amelie measured the glue stick.  It was 10cm long.

Ismah measured her fingers.  She found that they were all different lengths.
