Music

In Music this week we have been learning about high and low pitched sounds.

We learned a chant about a bear and and a bird and added actions to show that the bear made a low pitched growling sound and the bird made a high pitched tweeting sound.

Then we listened to a piece of music from China.  We identified the high pitched and low pitched sounds in it.  We found out that it told the story of a crab (low pitched) and a bird (high pitched)

Then we sorted instruments into high and low pitched sounds.  We played the instruments to accompany the story whilst the rest of the class clapped and tapped out a beat.
